Are you looking for something fun and family friendly to do in the Nashville area over Christmas? Are you relatively cold resistant?

Be sure to check out ICE! It is an annual ice sculpture display presented by Gaylord Opryland Resort and Convention Center. Each year the exhibit follows a familiar Christmas story, and this year's theme is A Charlie Brown Christmas.

Created by Charles Schulz, Charlie Brown is a beloved character from many a childhood, and A Charlie Brown Christmas follows Charlie through his holiday blues as he puts his best effort into directing his neighborhood Christmas play, being disregarded and ignored the whole time, and eventually learning the true meaning of Christmas.

ICE! features over two million pounds of ice, brilliantly sculpted into our favorite Peanuts characters in scenes from the movie. As, you walk through the display, which is kept at a balmy 9 degrees, you'll see Snoopy's award winning doghouse decorations, the rehearsal, and Charlie finding the perfect Christmas tree. Also included in the display are four two-story ice slides and a beautifully carved nativity.

This impressive display is the result of hundreds of hours work by over 40 ice sculptors, and runs through the first of the year, but don't procrastinate. This is an exhibit you won't want to miss.
